KKC Philippines Feeding Activity 10/31/2015

It was a blessed Saturday afternoon at Barangay Sta. Elena, Iligan City where a feeding activity was held in Tomas Cabili National High School Annex Building last October 17, 2015 with the City Church of Praise (CCOP)’s – Feeding Ministry. The Kingdom Kids Club was able to bring joy, excitement and fun to the participating kids and also imparting them a slice of God’s word. The kids were wearing their green shirts with The Kingdom Kids print quoted with the scripture of Matthew 19:14 saying, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” The team divided the kids according to their ages into different classrooms for Bible Stories, Music and Action Songs, Games and the Arts & Workshop. The kids went through all the classes or activities, one after the other. The kids enjoyed them very much!

The highlights and most treasured part of the event was this 4 – year old hand-impaired girl. She is a differently abled kid but by God’s grace, she was given a unique talent. While at the workshop session, she was working on her art piece using her mouth and feet to draw, write and color it, and she really loved it. The team was so amazed and blessed. We were not only the ones who inspired and give them joy but, the kids in return have inspired us as well. We were so thankful to our God Almighty for his wonderful masterpiece!

When the classes were done, the kids were gathered together for the most awaited part, the meal time! The kids were so happy in partaking God’s blessings and they were full and satisfied, and yes they were indeed very thankful for their delicious meal. The kids were so spiritually blessed and went home with big smiles on their faces.

It was a tiring day for the team yet very fulfilling with the help of our Lord that gave the team enough strength to carry and accomplish each designated tasks. With knowledge, wisdom and strength from our Father, they were giving it back to our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise be to God!

KKC Philippines 2nd Batch Feeding Activity

On 19th day of September year of our Lord JESUS CHRIST, we conducted again a survey for the beneficiaries of the feeding ministry (KKC International – Philippines) at Bayanihan Village, Barangay Sta. Elena, whom most of the residents were victim of the Typhoon Sendong last December 2011.

Last September 26, 2015 the feeding ministry of the City Church Of Praise conducted again a feeding activity for the second time in the same venue in Bayanihan Village, Barangay Sta. Elena, but with another set of beneficiaries (children). Before we started the activities we gave honor to our LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST by praising and worshipping HIM through our voices, the prayer was led by one of the member of the KKC International – Philippines, an energetic servant of the Lord Bro. Jemar Orpeza (the cook).

The actual activities followed the plan as we discussed during our meeting before we conducted the feeding activity. First, we made verification of each child’s name from our survey data, then we checked their vital signs such as; weight, height and body temperature. T-shirts (colour blue) were also distributed which they wore during the entire activities. After that, they proceeded to their respective rooms as we classified them by age level. Unfortunately, out of one hundred beneficiaries (children) that we invited and listed during our survey, only half of them were present during the actual activity maybe due to the up coming festivity celebration of Iligan City (we concluded that because of the festivity celebration, half of children weren’t able to joined the feeding activity).

Meanwhile, the respective volunteers also conducted their assigned tasks, the “Gospel Story Team” led by Sis. Kristine Noemie Mainar, a modest and bookworm leader (discussing more on salvation story), “David Dance Team” led by Sis. Richelle Baguasan, a simple and humble leader (various action songs), and “Rapport Play Team” led by Sis. Xylone Apostol, a fantastic and purest leader (various group game play).

Simultaneously, the parents of the children were also gathered in the other room and shared with the good news of salvation for nurturing the spiritual aspects of their lives, and it was conducted by one of the members of KKC International – Philippines, Sis. Marjorie Orpeza, a restless and blissful mother of City Church Of Praise together with Sis. Fely Angot, an intense and caring mother. While Sis. Shella Ramos, an undisputed and down-to-earth mother, and Sis. Melly Cabutaje, a supportive and dynamic mother, ushered and attended the parents that were present during the feeding activity.

As overall account, the September 26 feeding activity of the Kingdom Kids Club International – Feeding Ministry of the City Church Of Praise in full cooperation with the KKC – Iligan team and with our military partner, the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion and partners from abroad, was generally successful. Glory and honor belongs to our Lord JESUS CHRIST who authored and blessed our ministry. SHALOM! SHALOM! SHALOM!

KKC Philippines 1st Batch Feeding Activity

Kingdom Kids Club International – Philippines launched its first batch feeding activity on September 12, 2015 at Bayanihan Village, Sta Elena, Iligan City, Philippines. Bayanihan Village is one of the relocation sites for all victims and survivors of the super typhoon Sendong last December 17, 2011 that devastated more than a dozen of barangays, loss hundreds of lives, ruined several infrastructures, farmlands, roads, commercial and residential buildings.

Bayanihan Village is a low-cost housing financed by the government and is comprised of not less than 2,000 families. In our own estimate based on our survey conducted prior to our first feeding, average headcounts of children in this community may not go less than 3,500 children. So this is a very strategic area for our Kingdom Kids Club feeding program considering that most of the families living here are below poverty line and are economically unstable.

Our first feeding was generally successful with the effort and cooperation of the whole Kingdom Kids Club team from City Church of Praise (CCOP) and to our military partner, the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion who gave us transportation and security support. Likewise, more importantly, thanks to our anonymous financial supporters and donors for meal expenses, children’s shirts, prizes and gifts.

The feeding benefited the 100 kids with listening of interesting Bible stories, learning and singing joyful action Christian songs, playing exciting games, enjoying good meal with juice and ice creams, new t-shirt uniform, prizes and gifts. The parents also (about 50 of them) showed a good response to our evangelism team and they were blessed of hearing the good news and receiving simple giveaways. Some parents were already opened for visitation and Bible studies. Praise be to our Almighty Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. All glory and praises belongs to Him.
