KKC Philippines 1st Batch Feeding Activity

Kingdom Kids Club International – Philippines launched its first batch feeding activity on September 12, 2015 at Bayanihan Village, Sta Elena, Iligan City, Philippines. Bayanihan Village is one of the relocation sites for all victims and survivors of the super typhoon Sendong last December 17, 2011 that devastated more than a dozen of barangays, loss hundreds of lives, ruined several infrastructures, farmlands, roads, commercial and residential buildings.

Bayanihan Village is a low-cost housing financed by the government and is comprised of not less than 2,000 families. In our own estimate based on our survey conducted prior to our first feeding, average headcounts of children in this community may not go less than 3,500 children. So this is a very strategic area for our Kingdom Kids Club feeding program considering that most of the families living here are below poverty line and are economically unstable.

Our first feeding was generally successful with the effort and cooperation of the whole Kingdom Kids Club team from City Church of Praise (CCOP) and to our military partner, the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion who gave us transportation and security support. Likewise, more importantly, thanks to our anonymous financial supporters and donors for meal expenses, children’s shirts, prizes and gifts.

The feeding benefited the 100 kids with listening of interesting Bible stories, learning and singing joyful action Christian songs, playing exciting games, enjoying good meal with juice and ice creams, new t-shirt uniform, prizes and gifts. The parents also (about 50 of them) showed a good response to our evangelism team and they were blessed of hearing the good news and receiving simple giveaways. Some parents were already opened for visitation and Bible studies. Praise be to our Almighty Father through our Lord Jesus Christ. All glory and praises belongs to Him.
